Howdy folks, I posted this on another forum and figured I would also share it with you since it is primarily a freshwater boat. It is made by a father/son team in San Angelo, Texas and is called the StreamCraft. They bought the mold from a company that used to market it as the Lampro in the 80s. Not necessarily a kayak, more like the Ultimate. I got my first shipment in last week. I decided to give it a whirl for the first time this past Sunday and I really enjoyed it (especially the seat).

Specs
- Length - 9'-10"
- Width - 34"
- Weight - 45lbs
- Draft - 6" with 250lbs
- Capacity - 300lbs

Price
- Retail $625 ($575 as an introductory offer)

I was told that they can make these any over 40 colors. They are making me a camo one so I will post pics when I get it. In 2009, they are going to add foot pegs and will also be molding a 12' version.

I may be biased since I am a dealer but I really do think this boat has promise. While not a replacement to any kayak, I think it is a great alternative when you want something that allows for you to sit upright, stand on and is easy to transport. It was really fun to paddle. I do have a demo boat here in the Austin area so I invite you to try it out sometime.

Here are some pics:

My daughter seemed to like it:

Yeah that guy hasn't posted in almost 7 years. Unless he has been lurking around all these years you're probably out of luck. His link is no good but look in his old post and you can find his phone number. Maybe that still works.

That seat looks like a standard boat seat you can get from Walmart.

LakeLine was only a dealer for StreamCraft. He did not own or manufacture for them. I think you need to get a seat at Academy and make it fit. Post pictures if you are having difficulty.
