I need a new C-Rig rod, and don't want to spend more than $200 rod will mainly be used on Toledo. Any suggestions?

Look at the Duckett White Ice Series.

I was looking at the Duckett Micro Magic Pro series online will check those out too, have a Duckett Ghost for Senkos and Flukes and love it. I am in the process of slowly replacing my old rods.

Phenix M1

Have you ever tried a rod from Phenix before?! I promise that the Phenix M1 (MX-72H) will be your ultimate Carolina-Rig rod! These rods are super sweet, and they're less than $170, which is incredible. The number one advantage Phenix has over other rod companies is their attention to detail. This rod looks and feels like a $500 rod. With it's incredible lightweight design, custom made reel seat, and it's super sensitive blank, I guarantee you'll love it.

I will check out the Pheonix, I don't think I've heard of them. Thanks BigBass.

804 dobyns is what my buddies use I plan on getting one as well before summer. I use a 764 now and really like it but i think the longer rod will really be the ticket for c-rigs and football jigs out deep

I use a Powell Max3D 764 rod. Very light but quite strong, sensitive and can throw the bait a long way.

Thanks for the input, My C-Rig real is also worn out and needs replacement / upgrade. Whats everyone's opinion? This combo will be C-Rig 99% of the time. Not looking for a super fancy real as I don't see a huge need it in just due to the C-Rig Technique.

The Phenix rods are very good. Whatever you choose, make sure it is at least a 7'6" to 7'9" rod. Your hook up ratio will be a lot better. A longer rod will take up the slack a lot faster.

The 804C is what I use exclusively for my Carolina Rigs! It is an awesome rod for deep water and longer leaders. It is ALWAYS on my deck ready to go. I throw a Carolina Rig a bunch and have never had a better one in my hands for this. The handle length, the overall length, the balance, action and the sensitivity is just right! Before I bought the 804C I used the Champion Extreme 784 and I thought it couldn't be beat. Those are my two favorite rods out of the whole Dobyns line up!

The 804 to me feels more like a 5 power to me as opposed to a 4 power. Which is a good thing.
