Does anyone have any information on how to finished a spinner blade with paint, glitter and sealer? Ideally the blade would be done in a painted pattern, lightly glittered and then sealed in a way that doesn't ruin the blades balance. Been experimenting around with iridescent paint on blades then sealed with epoxy...getting mixed results. Appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

I have used D2T epoxy thinned 50/50 with denatured alcohol, but I rarely use paint. I prefer to powder coat the blades. You can mix glitter with the powder coat and get some great looking blades.

Powder paint would be your best option. If you use an electrostatic applicator you can get a nice even finish that's tough and looks great. You can also get a airbrush that sprays powder paint and use it but you'll waste a lot of paint.

I used to paint large blades for salmon fishing. I used an airbrush and paints, then used D2T thinned out and painted over as a top coat. Worked very well on the larger blades.

Since the salmon blades were multicolored it was the best option. If I only wanted a single color powder paint would have been the way to go.

If using a electrostatic gun you can lay down a base coat then use one of the many clear/candy top coats for some really neat effects.
