This year is going to be worse for me, than last year! But that's ok, in a year or two things will multiply the amount available for the fryer.....

I know it hasn't been the spawn, but been fishing below spillway, obviously due to the high waters. But me and my brother have done pretty well down there. In the past couple weekends we are pushing 270 as far as numbers. All these pics are of different days.

Even caught this guy which was a first for me... (Spoonbill catfish) it was released.

If this is a "worse than last year" report, I wonder what a good year would be like. My total was 300 for all of 2015. Pushing 270 over the past couple of weekends (even for two people) sound like a pretty good year so far.

Well I will say that we've never done this well in a year more less a couple weekends. Bite has just been really good for us. Water temp has been around 55-56 degrees so I'm kinda anxious to see if it gets better once temp comes on up. We've averaged prob around 35-40 everyday.

Were you fishing the lake or spillway at Millwood? I was there Fri-Sun two weeks ago and caught a few bass. Didn't pull the Crappie gear out. I'm planning to go somewhere Friday when I get home from traveling.
