I wanted to get an opinion on the best scales currently available for bass fishing. I have considered the Boga Grip but I'm concerned I might not be able to read it without reading glasses??

Rapala makes a really nice digital scale with 8 bank memory. Great all around scale IMO. It's like $40 at Academy. Comes with cull clips as well.

Those are nice, but man $200 on scale just seems outrageous. I use a beam in tournaments so the only time I would use a scale is to weigh a big one.

$200 on a scale is on the upper end but how much did you spend on your boat? If you want an accurate portable scale, there is nothing more accurate than Cull M Rite.

This is what MLF uses.

Looks like it runs around $75 looking on Google.

There is no way I would spend over $50 on a scale... Much less $200. That's crazy to spend that much on a SCALE that is meant to weigh fish

I have this: Bogagrip 15 pound IGFA Certified-169.95, at age 61 I have no trouble reading it.
It's Dead-On, Balls Accurate!!!

Save your money on the Cull M Rite I have one and all the hype is what caused me to make my decision to get it and it's not what it is all talked up to be. Mine is never accurate and will weigh the same fish different every time.

Hard to beat this one for the price and is easy to read. I had mine certified.

If its for tourney fishing a balance beam doesn't lie, for digital weight no reason to spend $200 on a scale IMO. I've been in boats with guys that use the cul-m-rite and those that use a balance beam, and the ones with a beam spend alot less time culling. Like was previously mentioned rapala make a good culling scale for much cheaper.

I've been using the Connect Scale for a few months and really like it. It is accurate (had to use it at one club tournament to weigh everyone's bags when a high dollar certified scale stopped working) and also connects to phones via Bluetooth, where you can save the weight and add other data about each catch.

I was thinking about getting one of these, do you use the blue tooth app? If so can you tell how it benifets you on tournament day?
Thanks
