When building these does it make any difference what color the pipe is ?

Yep...crappie prefer pink the best....
Seriously, no. You should "rough" up the surface of whatever color you use to let algae build up faster and easier.

IMHO , the more shade you can create , the better the pile will produce.

iv done well with these  I doubt you have done well with those because nobody saw me drop them.  That picture was taken by me in my driveway. I kinda miss my old tin boat.

What are the buckets filled with?? And can these be used in public lake with out anyone calling cops on you for "littering"
