Like 2mph all I had was my motor engaged at idle it hit an old repair just right and split it open it's a 1986 champion that I bought back in November that was repaired with Bondo I'm new to the area and have been told not to go fast north of 155

If it was repaired with bondo, it wasn't gonna hold up anyway. Answer to your question is- no, there are good fish all over the lake. Just seems to be better odds up north.

Good luck catching anything after the pounding the lake took this weekend.

That's the one thing about Palestine. If you fish up north you will find some of the biggest, hardest stumps anywhere. Me and a partner were idling up to Cades one day and spent about an hour on top of a stump before someone with a chain came and got us off. But you can have days like no other up in that part of the lake. My personal best 12.01 lbs came from Flat Creek in the mid 90's.

Someone need to make a boat with a saw on it that goes like 5ft below the boat and cut boat lines in that lake

Mother Nature has its own way of tree removal, there will NEVER be man made boat lanes implemented on Lake Palestine.

Second vote for Highsaw. Also Ledbetter. This time of year the reeds hold some good fish!
