Did anyone else notice that Kevin Short was fishing out of a Bass Cat and everyone else in the nitros? Anyone know what's up with that?

There has always been 1 bass cat in the series. Ike normally fishes in a bass cat in the MLF, and Short fishes it in the selects. If they are not in the round, someone else is in it. I've seen Grisby in it, Omori was in in Florida, it varies.

If I ain't fishing, I ain't happy.
But mostly I'm happy.
I love being retired, the check is in the mail.

Read about this not to long ago... BPS is major sponsor, part of their sponsorship is providing boats for the competitors. Even if someone is in one of the outliers (the one Cat or the couple of other Phoenixes) I read they had to be identically equipped. They are all 19 foot class boats with a 175 HP Merc if I remember correctly. It was a pretty good article equating the style of fishing and equipment to the IROC.

Correction; It's a 150...

easiest way to spot a bass cat is the shape of the live well lids and the seat backs. they have been on the show a long time.

When in doubt set the hook..Retie often
