For those who don't care if the Salvinia spreads to the rest of the lake, stay off of Fork, don't come to Fork and go someplace else to fish. We're finally getting some grass back in the lake and if the weed killers get sprayed again, we'll have another 3 years of poor fishing and poor spawn performance. AND, the economies of the surrounding communities will suffer. But, you obviously don't care about that, you just care about yourself.

To whom it may concern, I drive an hour and a half 40+!times a year to spend my hard earned money at fork. Caddo is my home lake so I know what salvinia looks like, I haven't seen the first bud of it in Chaney.


Btw, there were at least 8 other boats this afternoon that didn't get the memo not to cross the barricade.

ok now....I believe I speak for both Beast and myself when I say this- we for sure care about the well being of the lake and community. My sanity on a weekly basis literally revolves around how the fishing is there haha. I really do not want to even calculate how much I spend around the lake on gas, food, tackle and lodging ( i was once the burning stumps number one customer ). Grass has been off and on growing in lake fork for the last 3 years easy. Been in and out of Chaney for quite some time now this year, like every inch of it, and there is no Giant Salvinia back there right now to spread anyway. ... Yea Beast, quit being so selfish A hole.

Pilot a boat across the bouys and someone sees it and questions someone and they are a tattle tail?! WTF? Yep..... Not biased at all are you guys ?

I spoke with officer Kelly last monday just to be sure, yes the buoys were made to float across. No, it is not illegal to cross. If it was such a problem, surely the state biologists would seal off the area.

Its odd that you may cross over the barricade but you can't launch a boat back there or at least as of March you still could not.

We need to use this post as a learning tool. It appears this post might be the best way to learn who has the best boat debate. Skeeter, Ranger, BC, Nitro, Phoenix, etc. We can all meet at this very spot, get a 40 yard running start, and see whos boat will jump the barricade the farthest by measurement, then check for stress cracks, and see which set of electronics picked up the jump on side imaging the best....

From what i read, they are afraid you may get some of the plants on your trailer and transport to another lake if you load/unload there. Vs being on plane and going 70mph where it would all be blown off your boat.
