 First time kayaking out to an oil rig

Hey I could use any and all advice for kayak fishing near a rig. I'll be going May 7th to port Arkansas. So far I've only drift fished around est. 800yards out.

I could give you lots of info on the fishing itself but as much as I kayak bass fish and fish around the jetties from it I've never Paddled to the rigs. Is mainly fishing info what you're looking for???

well I've only really ever fished whit live bait, so I'm looking for info on what kind of lures to use and how to fish them. Also what species of fish run during May.
