Those look awesome!! A recent favorite of mine is crappie melts!! Bake it in the oven however you want. Toast some bread. Rye, sourdough, or in this case jalapeno bread from Collin street bakery with butter in a skillet like for a grilled cheese. Add some sauted onions and Swiss cheese. Top with fish and thousand island dressing and toss the top bread slice on and serve!! Pairs well with Abita Amber or any other beer. Particularly cold and yours! Those are 2 of my favorites!!

Man, those tacos were scrumptious...Here are some changes I made to your recipe...I added some Basil olive oil (that I make myself), Tony's on one pan (for me) and old bay on the other (Tony's was definitely better), some Parmesan cheese (the last five minutes in the oven) that Jacob mentioned, and a secret ingredient...that can be seen if you look real close in the picture...I forgot to pick up lemons, but had some juice on hand, and it worked out...I only had three filets left on my tray!

Banker, they were mighty fine eating....

The meal was requested by my son, Alan, a freshman in high school...just prior to leaving for a district UIL tournament. I told him if he did well, I would go catch some fish and make a batch to celebrate. He came home with a first place in Math and Spelling...beat out all the Freshmen, Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors at all the schools in our district! Pretty good showing, so I made good on my word...Just between us, I sure hope that was the incentive to perform at a top level...he couldn't quit talking about me making him some more after Regional competition! So, I am glad PEPOP shared that recipe with the forum several years ago!

They were so good, Alan set me up a photobucket account and showed me how to send pics from my IPhone, then how to upload them to the forum...now if I don't forget how, I can say pepops crappie tacos helped everyone in our household!!! Thanks Vernon...

You're more than welcome! I think your "Secret Ingredient" is some kind of mustard, or something in that yellow bottle behind the Dill. Your "personal" touches sound mighty good! That's what's so great about sharing stuff like recipe's. You take it and try it, then "tweak" it to make it your own. That recipe I posted was MY VERSION of a recipe I found somewhere. WTG c.cat

LOL, Vernon...for the secret ingredient, you have to look to the left side of the picture!
