Do fish bite the least?
Well it didnt seem to bother them yesterday. pulled my first limit off of trading house yesterday.
Launched at 11.00 fished until 7 pm. most fish caught off of 2 brushpiles, one in 8 feet one in 13 feet. It took a while to figure out a pattern, and sometimes help comes from the least expected sources. I was reading a flyer someone had sent me on a fishing report of waco, and decided to try it on tradinghouse. The flyer basically said, look for shallow piles near feeder creeks in the main lake, and thats what I did. My initial game plan was to dip catails with a long rod, but I didnt even get to trying that. The fish would bite a white and chart rocky top, with a hot pink head. tossed over the pile they would run out and nail it, or if it came to rest, just hold it dead still.
This was my 5th trip to trading house, and first 4 times were not good at all. (in all fairness the first 2 trips were spent scanning for cover and structure, the 3rd trip, some scanning and some fishing, the fourth trip mostly fishing and a little scanning. so in total I probabaly have abt 20 hours of actually jig time on the lake)..
All fish were spawned out, and likely came out of thier spawning area, and were recovering on that shallow brush. you could not see fish on sonar, they were so tight to the cover.
I was using gulp maggots in pink color, soaked in shad oil . they stay on the hook better, seem to absorb the shad oil, and crappie on tradinghouse house like pink. I tried a few other colors when break off, but they didnt seem to want anything but the hot pink/white/chart.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

TH is usually a bit sooner on the spawn, hence everything else is a bit quicker in cycles. I'd like to get out there soon and try my luck. thumb

Is there a good bank fishing spot? If so where? I've got a BBQ fund raiser for my daughters cheerleading in Mart and thought I might swing by and try my luck.
