Never fish for crappie but am wanting to give it a try. Not sure where to even start looking for them. What depths should I concentrate on to locate them this time of the year? Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated

Most are spawning if not done already, cattails are a key indicator. As a general rule, look for cover like submerged bushes/branches and in coves. I tend to believe they are more active at night, but they can be caught anytime. Try a bobber and 2 1/2 ft down with minnow or you can try jigging.
Theres a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. Steven Wright
