Any reports out of Lake Lewisville? We were looking at fishing there Friday. Debating if it is worth the drive in rush hour traffic. Thanks in advance =)

Got there late in the afternoon, threw the net one time, caught 200 plus shad by the I-30 bridge, had to release half.
Picked up some friends and hit a point across from Westlake Park south boat ramp. Spent an hour catching and releasing undersized hybrids, with one being 19 1/2 inches. Wanted to put some sandies in the cooler, so headed to to a point near the cut. We put 60 in the boat in less than 2 hours.
Live shad, bite was as soon as it hit the bottom. Using slabs were a little slower, but still produced at a good rate. My friend Carlos never used slabs, so he stuck with it till he got a good feel for it, then wore them out. His wife caught so many fish using live shad, she couldn't reel any more in and had to take a break. All together it was a 100 plus awesome fish day. Not bad for a 3 hour trip.
Just want to say thanks to Kevin with Downwind Guide Service for all you taught me, from throwing a 7 ft net, to locating and catching Sandbass and Hybrids over the past few years. If you want to learn Lake Lewisville, give him a call at 817-909-1953
