Was whitecapping on lake when we fished Tuesday. Caught one here, one there, slow fishing, total of nine.

Let me ask someone to identify these fish from number 1 on left to number 4 on right side. I have a hard time telling the difference between bluegills and longears sometimes. Number 1 has the bluegill vertical stripes, so I'd say it is a bluegill. Pretty sure number 2 is a redbreast, with that extended ear flap. I initially thought 3 and 4 were longears, but not sure. 3 may be a hybrid? What do you think?

Think you are right, still a few weeks away. I'll send you a PM on where I fish. Banker, thanks for the IDs. Appreciate it.

Beautiful fish! I agree with Banker except that I think #3 is pure Redbreast. I also would like to know the name of the lake where you caught these awesome fish!
