I just got a g loomis rod in a trade it is 7' 6" mag light ex fast action is this to light for bass fishing? If not how would you use it?

Sorry to piggy back but same question. My mom had a Rogue MB663 Medium fast 6'6" made for me for Christmas. Had it out once but what would it be best suited for?

Sorry to piggy back but same question. My mom had a Rogue MB663 Medium fast 6'6" made for me for Christmas. Had it out once but what would it be best suited for? This should be good for a weightless senko wacky rigged or a drop shot.
