Most of my freshwater rods are Ugly Sticks. For that matter, so are most of my saltwater rods, except for really specialized stuff.

Today's fisherman are awesome. I do smile though when I see this type of discussion. It reminds me of Stephan and I having the same conversation under a willow tree. We cut a catfish limb from the nearest tree and caught fish for dinner. We'd stash the pole and use it until it got too dry.
We didn't know we were poor cause we were never hungry. There were always fish eager to bite.
