I figured this has come-up before but nothing came-up when I ran a search.

I'm planning a trip at the end of the month and I'm looking for a guide who will help me learn the lake.

Any suggestions on a good, reliable guide?

Thanks

Darold Gleason, time and time again he gets good reviews on here, he also fished with Bill Wilcox on a honey hole episode for the bend this year. Maybe go check that one out on youtube, seems like very knowledgeable guide who is a good teacher. He would be my first choice

I would absolutely LOVE to fish with Harold Allen. It would be a bucket list item for me.

Zack Gagnard 318-308-7574. Young guy just starting out. He is on em right now. We fished together 2 weeks ago and I would guess we caught real close to 100 fish.

ABSOLUTELY YES,,, you certainly want to ask ANY guide you are booking as to whether they have a tournament coming up "away" from Toledo Bend, or "on" Toledo Bend.......or any lake for that matter.
I think it makes a difference in how they approach their outing.

Darold Gleason is the man. Used him twice and have another day scheduled for 4/25. I like Darold because I'm very interested in using my graphs and fishing off shore structure, that's less pressured, and for me holds bigger fish.

I dont need a guide to beat the bank.

Darold is a really good guy and a great guide. You will have a hard time getting him booked this time of year but absolutely call him to check on any cancelations he may have. Good Luck either way
