I have a 4 month old 12' Talon and it's making a screaching sound when deploying and retracting. No I didn't take off with it down. Anyone else had similar problem? Really irritating

I have the same problem. Very loud.

Check the plate on the bottom.I bet it's bent do you fish fork,or bump a stump

No never fished fork. Haven't done anything but anchor with it never hit anything or put a ton of pressure on it

Call MK Support. Mine had a bad or weak brads causing same type of noise.
Both have been fine since fixed.

Talked to them this morning. They want me to take it to a service center. The places I called are going to have to have it for 2 weeks at least. Not the right time to be without it

I had the same problem with mine. I sprayed the aluminum shaft when its deployed all the way out with silicone spray. No problems ever since.

How did you deploy it all the way out and be able to get to it?

Going to have to lay it down horizontal to get it deployed out to service the sections. Don't stand behind it when you do. If you have a tilt bracket you can do this easily. Probably have to come up with another rig if you don't have the tilt bracket.

maybe back it up to a 12 ft ledge?

I didn't realize the tilt brackets allowed them to a complete 90* angle. If it didn't, they still wouldn't extend the full 12'

May not be 90* but close.

mine will extend all the way out with them folded down. I spray them down with silicone every couple of months.

I use silicone spray on mine every 3 to 4 months & have no noise problems.

Can I get silicone spray at auto zone or something? Never bought any before
