Any tips for fishing in extremely stained water during the spawn? Only have about 6in of clarity so sight fishing is out of the picture. Any tips? Besides fishing another lake of course.

Pitch a craw or tube to areas that look like it would be a perfect bedding spot. If you have fished long enough you will know what I am talking about. If you don't get bit doing that fish a wacky rigged senko type bait out a little deeper or a drop shot.

I've pitched plenty of tubes and craws, for some reason I've always thought wacky worm was more of a clear water bait. What frustrates me is I know what to look for as far as "there should be a bed there" yet I'm not getting bit like there is one. Maybe the lack of finesse is the problem!! Thanks!

Slow down, and when you think your fishing too slow then slow down some more.

Keep going up the creeks and rivers to get past that muddy water. As soon as it is just stained then that is where they will be. Look for a side creek coming into the main creek. They will be up on both flats and about 50 yards into the side creek if it continues to clear up. They are on the bank as the water is falling.

You have two choices - fast or slow. I prefer to fish REALLY slowly with a t rigged chunky plastic, like a craw or a D bomb. Drag and hop it thru the areas you suspect have beds. But let it sit a LOT. Keep a REALLY sharp eye on your line, a lot of the time you won't feel the bite, especially if the bass is just trying to move the bait and not eat it.

If you aren't into watching paint dry, you can tie on a squarebill or a spinnerbait or chatterbait and just fan cast the areas you suspect are holding bass. Cast over the same spots multiple times. Sometimes it takes them a few shots to get mad enough to strike. If you don't have the patience to fish REALLY slowly this is what I'd recommend.

If there are tell-tale signs on the surface, you can pitch to likely areas. Some of these would be bed-shaped holes in the grass. Your best bet is where these meet up with some kind of hardwood or rock. You will want to find some of the hardest ground around these areas.

You can also fish fast in matted grasses or overhangs with a frog or other similar 'search bait'. When you see the activity below (movement in the grass, boiling in the surface) pick that area apart as if you could see the fish on the bed.

Go to a major creeks, look for less murky pockets. In those pockets flip the flooded stuff in 4' or less. Look for "holes" in a bush. Bass like to spawn next to something. Flip the cover but let the bait soak in the high % "holes". A Tx rig Xcite Raptor tail jr 5/16 weight 4/0 hook 20lbs floro does the trick. Also try a tx rig 5" senko 3/16 weight.

How warm is the water? A frog like a spro can help. Alot of times they will atleast swirl on it and you can slow down in those places and catch them. Or like Donald said throw a spinner and fish slower for the misses. If you are fishing soft plastics you just have to guess at where you think one might be and fish it like you would if you can see them.

There is a diff in blind bed fishing and fishing for bed fish in dirty water. The bait choices would be different blind fishing in clear water as opposed to water with 6 in of visibility.

This right here. If you have two guys in the boat let the guy in front throw the frog and backseater follow up with a senko.
