Fished this past Saturday in the first IFA Texas event in Port Aransas and did well enough to take home a check, ended up in 9th place out of 66 boats with a weight of 14.31lbs. The day before the tournament we had a cold front blow in changing all conditions ended up running south crossing Corpus Christi bay with 3 foot rollers to find blown out water with little confidence we began fishing when 5 casts into the drift my partner Elliot Stevens hooked up with an over sized fish. However after fishing for over an hour with no more bites we decided to head farther south and found some protected water where we caught a good number of fish pushed up in shallow waters. The bait of choice was a chicken boy lure chicken on a chain color matched with a red 1/8 oz Rockport Rattler jig head.

Most fish were hitting the baits so hard they would swallow the entire bait as shown
