Is there a time that the fish won't go after anything? I tried a fluke , hog, Seiko , worm , spinner etc and all the fish did was run from them all day. Ive never had as many failed attempts until this year. I wanna say I've caught maybe 2 fish off of beds. What's the deal?

try a wacky rigged senko and toss it unweighted onto the bed and let it sit. Most times she'll come back, pick it up and carry it off the bed and spit it out. I've also had luck ticking fish off by throwing it past them and bumping them with the bait to get a reaction strike.

Not all fish are catchable. You have to learn to tell which ones you can catch or not and move on. But when I find a really large one, I've been known to waste way to much trying.
I hate photobucket.

I recommend you take a trip with a guide who knows bed fishing well- you will learn tons and can then use that info and try more on your own. There is so much information about this subject not on this forum and that requires experience and patience. It's not like just throw this or that-WAY more to it than that.

Thanks for the solutions fellas , I've never had a problem catching fish on beds for some reason they've been some major league d-bags this year! When they move off of beds and start really biting again I'm goins to give em hell!

I think there are far fewer bed fish available. By that I mean so many of them are bedding in water where you can't see them, the ones you can see have been beaten to death.
If the fish is committed to the bed, she is catchable. But you're going to have to pizz her off to get her to inhale your bait all the way. Best way to do that is repeatedly pitch in the bed and womp her upside the head or in the body every time she gets between you and the bait. I like a 3/4 oz. TX Rigged bullet weight and soft plastic for this. Or a 3:16 Mission Fish line-thru, nose weighted swimbait.
If they're not stuck on the bed, trying to anger them obviously won't work. Agree with Dr. JL. A trip with a good guide who knows the ins and outs of sight fishing is invaluable.

I haven't found water clear enough to see a fish on a bed lately.

Every fish we caught yesterday on eagle were on beds we had around 20 on beds one would leave and come back I would throw in there let it sit with a 1/2oz weight she come back I hold knock the [censored] out of her. I could tell she was catch able though. We hit her about 5 times then the next time she came back it was game over just got to [censored] then off. But like others said some are committed and you have to learn that on your.

or, cram an Alka-Seltzer up a tub-bait and peg it with a toothepick and flip'er in there and watch. Not suggested for tournament use!

My partner and I had a great day Sat. on bedding fish that we could not see and did not have to look for them which is just the way I fish. I had 22 lbs. on my spinner bait for 5 fish and he had 20 lbs. on the whacky worm. Every fish that slapped the spinner bait and didn't eat was caught whacky as he backed up my missed strikes which really wasn't that many. We had 69 total and was finished by 3:15. The big fish were all this size around 4.5 lbs. and caught on my Mustard colored blades. Cutten The Mustard

I caught a bunch of fish off of beds about 3 or 4 weeks ago. The last two weeks I've seen fewer fish on beds and they're much more nervous. It's just the weather. The sporadic rains and the cold nights we still get a few times a week.
Trust me, give it 4 or 5 days and it'll be on again. It's supposed to be mid 80s in the day but the important thing is it's only going to be getting down into the 60s. By this weekend the waters around here will be 4 or 5 degrees warmer, if not more.
Fish the first break too. There are still a TON of fish staging and feeding.
