Went up spring creek all the way to the railroad bridge today. Only one crappie trolling a jig at the gravel pit but nothing to write home about. Ran all over the lake searching with the graph to no end. Wind was terrible but decided despite all this spawn talk I'd fall back on what I know best and hit my favorite brush pile that is now in about 30 feet of water. Before I even got all my stuff together had one slam my minnow I dropped to about 22-24 feet deep over the brush. It was a hair shy of keeping so he got parole but dropped another scout down and it got slammed by a slab black crappie. Repeated my drop again and up comes a decent white. Dropped down again and my pb white hammered it so hard at first I though I caught the pile and then I thought I hooked a ditch pickle the way she actually ran but then it's like they shut off. Anyone else have any luck?

I fished Indian Creek on 4-2, started at the mouth and fished all the way as far as i could go. Used minnows and jigs. Did not get a bite. I was fishing from 6 to 1 foot deep. I did see one other boat catch one, that's all. After about 3 hrs of that, I went out and checked 3 brush pile in 20 to 30 feet still no takers..slow... Hope to go back later this week..

Yeah I marked a ton of bait and either sandies or crappie going under the bridge leading back into spring but the wind was just to rowdy to try to work on em. In my opinion they are def first third right now maybe middle without the front and wind there was this weekend

Those will crappie, I don't know what kinda graph you have but if you have down imaging and side imaging all those white dots are crappie with catfish fish mixed in, they'll hang around that bridge, just hop from pillar to pillar then circle back to the first pillar you hit, some bridges are different on day bob, sometimes crappie won't hit if it's dropped down the side , some bridges you have too pitch the minnow or jig to pillar and let it fall away from it, the 377 bridge in buck creek you have to pitch it to the pillar only way you can successfully catch them and the railroad bridge as well, yeah that's a secret to 377 bridge crappie, holds a lot. Shhh lol

I'm running a Lowrance HDS 9 gen 3 with the LSS ducer. I could definitely see lots and lots of em just couldn't hold my v-hull still long enough lol. I really wish Lowrance and minn Kota could work together so I could get some of that fancy spot lock business going on my trolling motor but never gonna happen. bang maybe if I can get a calm day I'll try em again.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
