Went out late yesterday afternoon to Pappy Elkins Park in Dalworthington Gardens to attempt some bass fishing just trowing from the bank. Next thing I know I am sitting right on top of a school of carp rooting and feeding HARD. I ask a lady feeding some ducks if she minded if I took a couple slices of white bread, I squeezed it onto the 3/0 EWG I was using for a weightless Texas rig fist cast pulled it out of the fishes mouth, second cast hooked it deep and wrestled in an 8-10 pounder. Hooked onto another one a few minutes later, just as big but lost my hook in the fight. Got a new hook and a few minutes later wrestled in a 6-8 pounder, and on my last cast of the night got a good hookset on what I suspect was another 6-8 pounder and once again lost my hook in the fight.
