Had a great afternoon with my dad on Hawkins. I found a huge group of fish in 17 FOW about 20yds from the ramp, marked em, went back to them and spot locked on them. Caught a two man limit, following the school only about 50' with onlookers. No monsters but solid 11" to 14" fish. Caught all on Thermocline Lures, Lil Fry in East Texas Killer. Caught the first couple on Ice Shad, while my dad caught a couple on Chartreuse silver flake. Combining the colors lead me to the East Texas Killer and it was history after that. Tried a few brush piles after the action and found lots of fish willing to bite. With the G-Rod I schooled my dad for awhile, then handed him one of my 7'ers. Didn't take long for him to be impressed with the G-Rod!
