I can hardly even spell swim bait. Had some for years and have fished with them very little. Do the they work on blue bird days ?

Ive only had one good trip with swimbaits several years ago. That trip the guide we went with wanted clear skies and a little ripple on the water. It was clear the day of the guide and the day after without and we did pretty well on them.. havent caught or fished them much since. I need to fish them more..

I've had great days when the skies cleared out. I usually like the hollow bodies when the water is dirtier. When the water is clear I go with the lake fork magic shad. That's about all I've thrown the last month. Good luck.

I fish them on a 12 to 18 inch leader to a swivel 1/32 tapered split on a 4 to 6 O hook depending on bait size throw out hang on!!!!

I consider myself a spinner bait guy. Thought for years that it was the best way to catch a bass. Started throwing hollow bellies a couple of years ago and now can't put them down. I use the 5 inch all year round now, from the bank to 25 feet. Just a matter of finding the right cadence.
