Meeting Link

Registration will be at the ramp starting at 5:30 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board get your fish weighed. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:30.

There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 4:00 and weigh in will start then. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called. See you at the ramp!

Another great turnout of 37 boats came out to fish with us on stingy Tawakoni today. There were some good sacks weighed in even though there was only one five fish limit. That went to the winners Preston Smith and David Horton who weighed in 21.45 pounds. Big bass went to Eric and Evan Vidal with a 7.53. Full results and pictures will be posted next week.

Thank you for a well run tournament! I've been a member since the 2nd or 3rd year... Way back ! I've seen the club grow to what it is today. We have a great group of anglers, and a great group of admins! While I haven't caught a keeper in the last 3 tournaments, I did have fun ! Congratulations to the check cashiers! I've been tournament fishing for 27 years now! It never ceases to amaze me how challenging it can be to catch 5 keepers! Lol! Just for giggles, my first jig fish was 37 years ago on Benbrook on a black hair jig in reeds. lol !
I do have some knowledge on Granbury if anyone wants some input for the top 6 fun n sun deal.

It has been a blast this year fishing with my son in law who is new to bass fishing. It has been great to see him progress and me to try to share my knowledge with him. We are kind of behind the 8 ball a lot by not being able to practice. We are basically practicing at each tournament and even though I have fished a lot of the lakes for over 25 years I have not spent much time the last 3 or 4 years on most of them. Yesterday we had a really slow start and managed just one keeper the first four hours on a swim jig. I recalled a place I used to fish and we headed a short way over there and for the next couple of hours we had a blast. Got back into an area and caught two more keepers and a few short fish. I caught a CrawTube fish and Josh caught our biggest fish of the day on a chatterbait. It was really awesome even though we did have two other bites that we missed that might have meant a limit for us.
After some of the issues that have been posted on the forum lately I wanted to say that we were in the back end of the small pocket. A boat came in and started working it's way back towards us and even saw us catch some of our fish. I figured we were going to be sharing the area pretty quickly. As the Bass Cat finally got back to where we were at they cut off their route about 30 yards from us, went to the other side and started working their way back out of the cove leaving the back end to us. I have really never minded sharing an area because an old tournament partner once told me to never worry about being in close quarters with other anglers. Always welcome other anglers to share your water and always take the position of "They always have to outfish me!" and welcome the challenge. That is the way I choose to think but also is pretty neat to have someone come in the way the two guys in the Bass Cat did.
We ended up with just under 9 lbs for our 3 fish and put another great day on the lake in our memory bank.
