Curious myself. Everyone says to fish them but I never catch anything but crappie or catfish.

Medium diving cranks down the sides of slips works. As does skipping jigs and Senkos under the walkways. I always fish them if allowed. And I also fish the shade lines around them. Usually get one or two a day from them, when they are on a lake I'm fishing. Some of my biggest bass ever and a few of the exciting catches I've had have been marinas and boat docks. Caught to smallies on a craw colored crank off a boat house. .....on one cast. Boated them both.
Basically, fish it like any other cover. Especially is the boat docks are scarce on a lake. Makes for unique cover that fish might be drawn to.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Rule #1 for fishing marinas = be an accurate caster ! You are fishing around other people money pits and they get real edgy when fisherman start chunking lead around their babies...that said, get a big willow leaf spinner bait 3/4 to 1oz on no less than 20lb mono or even heavy braid...start swing pitching it as far back in the slip as you can...most bass hanging around marinas are picking off shad feeding on the green growth growing on the docks so a big spinner bait can draw some good bites...if the fish are not chasing, try a weightless fluke or senko...just my two cents...

I usually throw a Texas rig, jig, drop shot, or crankbait.i focus on pockets, posts or differences such as brush or depth changes . I watched a MLF episode where the guy was throwing a flutter spoon and killing them! I think it was James Watson.

I always start with a jig or Texas rig on the outside corners first
