What are some techniques you use to find crappie without electronics?

Right now you don't electronics. Just go to the back of the coves and start on the bank and work your way out till you start catching.

Fish the banks during the spawn....
Shoot jigs under docks, anytime I get a chance....
Fish the bridge pilings (at all different depths) in the heat of the summer.....

Yup. The fish are usually very close to the bottom when they are up shallow and spawning.

You don't really NEED electronics for the most part...it just takes a lot longer to figure out some holes...like weeks instead of hours. Of course electronics aid in the detection of underwater structure and staying on that structure a lot.
Like the others said, start at the creek and fish out into deeper water, timber, brush, rocks, concrete walls pillars, etc.
