This may have been posted here if so someone can pipe up and I'll delete the post. If not please take the time to make your voice heard and address the link. Yeah, I know it's California but we are all bass fishers. Help a brother out won't you?

Holy moly. I certainly don't fully understand pacific salmon fishery dynamics but that sounds like an unprecedented waste of manpower and money.

The severity of the water shortages in the southwestern portions of the US are rarely reported on 1)because of its severity and critical nature of the problem and 2) because of the lack of planning to deal with it over the last several decades. Politicians have underplayed the issue for so long its gotten to the point that for all practical purposes they are fighting a loosing battle in that quadrant of the country.

I wouldn't look for too much sympathy to be shown to recreational watersports in many parts of California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico over the next 10-20 years because like it or not agriculture and population concerns WILL take priority over all else when it comes to usable watershed resources.

Just wait till the weather system starts raining out there. What is Feinstein going to ask for then? Divine spigots? Big Agri. is behind this, who else would benefit? We have similar worthless problems in Florida with Big Sugar. Dan

Feinstein...that's all I needed to read to know it was a horrible idea. The woman needed to be retired by voters years ago.
