Bass Pro has some that are neoprene up around the ankles and rubber uppers and soles, I have a pair and I really like them. Easy on and off and warm with good quality wool socks. In fact I like them so much that I wore them during bow season this past year instead of my high dollar Muck hunting boots! I think I paid $39 for them, pretty cheap but they do work. Just an option.

Salomon Gore-tex shoes are the best I'm on my 4th pair
The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

I have been using Seal Skinz for the past 10+ years. They are waterproof socks.
