I have a 13 520C with a sho and I really like it. Super fast hole shot, will do 73mph, wide enough deck to land a helicopter, bigger live wells and different hull from the older 520s, handles big water, really great finish out. Its my favorite boat I've been in.... but of course I'm biased.

I would not rule out a kitty kat.
I've had 2 Skeeters, 2 Rangers, and am in a BassCat now, and it has been the best boat I have ever owned.

I have run Bass Cats for the last 13 years. Great boats. Just looking for a change.

Bad comparison. Compare the 920 vs the 520

Bought a 372 brand new in 1997 and have fished the hell out of it. Mostly on Ray Roberts thru the years. It's all scratched up and yet it still looks decent. I've been thru 2 trolling motors, replaced the hydraulic pump on the Seastar Hydraulic Steering helm, replaced one fender on the trailer and it keeps on running the hull is bullet proof as I have simply abused it in the timber. I'm looking into replacing it in the next few years with another Ranger or maybe a Pheonix - I have crawled all thru the new Pheonix's and I'm simply impressed with how they are designed, I will look at the Kitty's soon.

You want to see a Ranger shine? Try drifting next to another boat in the wind. More often than not the Ranger will be the slower drift of most boats out there.

Whoever thinks a Ranger will not draft shallow must not have fished in many. I prefer super shallow water and my Z520 does just fine. Not many places I can't get into.

I will leave all the arguing over brands to others as I am more o the frame of mind to buy what you like and what fits you and not try to worry about if the next guy approves of the way I spent my money or not. I will say I usually swap a boat every year or two but I have had my Z520 for 4 years now and love it. I was paid for the day I bought it so I could have gotten rid of it anytime I wanted. Fact is I love the way it fishes, the build quality, the performance and also the time or two I ordered an accessory from the factory. Very personable and friendly customer service. I just love the boat and the way it fishes.

They will go as shallow as any 20 foot bass boat. Obviously you dont fish out of a 520.
They are not fast, mine has a 225 SHO and will do 65 loaded, but they are the best fishing platforms out there. They don't blow around, they stay on track in wind and they have a ton of smart usable room.
