I know this has been discussed several times.. What is the best mount for a GoPro on your Bassboat.. Seems I had seen a higher style pole mount that captured you on the front deck better. But I cannot seem to find the thread.

I use two suction cup mounts for my ions.I Have one facing the deck mounted on the console windshield and the other right next to it facing the back deck. It gets me both angles. Also, if you have a lighter plug by your console then go get a two usb plug for it and power up both units all day without worrying about battery. They do make an aquastick $39.99 on amazon that plugs into your navi light port. I just don't use it because I typically have the light in during tournaments and don't want to mess with swapping out during the day.

I use the large gator clamp style that i attach to my drivers windshield. very stable and east to use get the flex mount arm for it and you can adjust exactly were you want to face the camera. Those suction cup mounts suck my brother lost his in the lake because of it, and i know several other youtubers who have had issues with them.

Boat Pole from Lock and Haul.
It mounts in your seat pedestal hole and extends 8'.
Can get some awesome angles with it.

I have never had an issue with my suction cup mount as long as I wet the cup before putting it on. I have had it fall off after leaving it on for a few days and trailering. I'll have to check out the gator clamp style mounts. I assumed that the clamp would walk on the windshield in rougher water since the weight is further away from where the connection is.

Correct I don't leave it on running even though I have tried it and it stays in place just a guaranteed way to make sure ur go pro doesn't fall off.

I had so much GoPro footage from low angles that I wanted something higher that would frame the front of the boat better. So Jim at Lock-N-Haul helped design it and the footage is incredible. Set your camera to 720/30 from the back and it captures footage with a little closer up angle. Or you can edit the 1080/60 to capture the perfect frame.
