Looking to add a spinning combo for skipping senkos and such....whats your best rod (action/length) and reel (size)?

Not saying this is the best combo, but it is what I have and it works well for me:
Mitchell 300 Pro spinning reel with 20 lb. P-line TCB braid and 12 lb. P-line CX Premium copolymer leader; Shimano Compre 6'8" medium rod. The reel size is what is commonly referred to as a 2500.
