Have a buddy coming in town April 14. Thoughts on going to Twok or Texoma. He wants to fish for Hybrids and Stripers.

The Six ole geezers website is dedicated to Texoma. Posts of late bemoan the bad striper fishing. Texoma is a prettier lake, but the fishing may be better at Twok. http://sixoldgeezers.forumchitchat.com/

I was at Texoma yesterday for an afternoon run. Got some shad, saw a lot of fish; one bite.
I used to fish that lake like a demon and just recently started going back - trying to get my striper chops back and not as good as I was. We hit a few of our old hang outs - saw a lot of fish, a good amount of bait balls. In the old days, I noticed if it was cloudy and a little rough, the striper bit better. I guess days that were not horribly inviting to humans were better for the bite. Anyhow, yesterday was a perfect day - bright blue skys, little wind, calm lake - beautiful but no fish. I had a great time. It was hard to leave.
