Mo's Tackle Shop made some screw lock crappie jigs a little while back and they have been discintinued. Just wondering if anyone had some laying in the bottom of their tackle box they don't plan on using they would be willing to sell. They looked like this. Thanks

Super glue gel works just as good Martin, IMHO. When I was fishing plastics, the night before a trip, I would "rig up" several 1/16oz & 1/8oz round head's with Slab Bandit's of whatever color I expected to fish, all with a tiny dab of gel between the lead ball & the Bandit nose. If brush didn't' the take it away from me, I could literally catch dozen's of crappie with 1 jig. Just FYI.

Vernon, I use super glue on the harder plastics like the slab bandits and constant pusuit baits. You pretty much have to use a knife to cut the bait off and yep you can catch fish all day on one bait. But, with the softer plastics like the thermocline baits, at least the super glues I have used dont seem to hold the baits on quite as well. However the screw lock works amazing for the soft baits. The 1/16 oz with #4 hook fits the the lil fry like a glove and the 1/8 oz with a #2 works perfect for the Mr Fry and the bonehead slim sticks. Will catch fish on a single plastic until you break off and doesnt pull down or tear.

Caught some nice ones on this rig with the natural shad lil fry yesterday when I couldn't catch em on anything else.

This is what I use. Holds soft plastics very well.

M.T., Those look to be very good hooks with the weight on the way it should be. Guys, crappie fishing is not a one size or way do it all. What a person needs is a lot of hooks in screw lock, wire keepers, lead collars, and still there will be jigs you need glue. And get as many types of heads as you run a cross because the person making the jigs is doing the heads to fill a need. For those that don't know the lead should be a little out front and a little to the bottom to off set the jig weight. on light weight jigs that do not have the lead to off set jig weight when you tie the jig hook on use a little glue to hole the line back on the eye of hook where you want it.
