What type of rod do you guys use for poppers and frogs? Im not looking for a brand recommendation as much as the type (mh,m, length, ect). Im going to be ordering a rod from 13 fishing but not sure what i should get for this.

If you are talking about "buzz" type frogs like the Rage Toad, Zoom Horny Toad or other Ribbit types, you could use the Omen Black 2 7'3" MH. If you are talking about hollow body frogs in the slop on heavy braid, I would get the 7'11" H, but that would be overkill for the popper type baits.

I use a 7' med heavy Rod with 30lb braid. Helps me Throw the frog 50 yards and a good hook set at that distance

Two different types of frog fishing. Slop and sparse cover/open water. Which type do you want to do? Two VERY different rods. You can walk a frog the right way with a super heavy flipping stick type slop rod but your going to be wishing you had a better set up. Open water/sparse cover I throw a 7' MH. I also have a 7'3" MH but I like the 7 better. Both of these are fast action. For heavy slop I throw a 7'6" "mag" heavy rod with a moderate fast action. To me it just has that extra pause from strike to hookset that is sometimes needed in thick slop.

I like an MHX SJ842, 9" handle, Fuji semi-micro KR system guides, it's an 80/20 blank 80% backbone with just a little tip for casting a mile and walking the frog. it's perfect. 65# power pro super slick, Chronarch 7:1.1, R2S Bully Wa or KVD Sexy Frog

I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

Falcon Cara Mike McClelland 7'4" Heavy Cover

Has good backbone and just enough tip to put a frog where I want it to go.

I use a 7'3 Omen Black MH for frogs now, with either 30 or 50lb power pro. They fish a little bit stiffer than listed, it's perfect for a frog or even a chatterbait.

My popper rod is a 7'3 TFO GTS M Fast rod with 15lb big game.

I want a little softer rod for poppers because of the treble hooks. With frogs, I want to be able to make a much heavier hookset, so I like a stiff MH or even a H rod.

I've got a brand new 7'3 Heavy omen black that I'd be willing to part with if you're interested. It's never been fished with.
