Okeechobee is about a hour and 45 minutes from Orlando. You could always call Scott Martin. His schedule usually stays pretty full, but sometimes you can luck into a date. I imagine there are plenty of other good guides on Okeechobee you could call though.

The fish on the lakes at Disney World are pretty darn good, and I believe you can book guides through Disney as well.

Capt. Tony Summers 321-363-6550. I fished with him last fall on Toho and several of the other lakes in the Kissimmee chain and had a really enjoyable day. I asked for an artificial bait trip as I had done the shiner thing on a previous trip and I wanted to try something new. We fished hard and caught some nice fish, I learned some new to me techniques, and he worked hard to provide the trip I asked for. I highly recommend a trip with him and I won't hesitate to use him again next time I have an excuse to go down there.

Also wanted to add, the experience was awesome. We saw deer, alligators, and at one point three bald eagles circling overhead. We also locked through to different lakes which is something I had never done before. The other thing down there is the lakes are shallow and FULL of vegetation and to be going about 60mph in a Skeeter with a big SHO on it right through what I would think was land was an experience in itself. They just drive right through the stuff and he said "I am just mowing the grass making places to fish for the next trip" Problem with this trip is you won't want to go back to Disney, Toho is way better than Disney!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Are there any big fish to be caught at Disney or just your average 2 to 3lbers? Looking to catch some size.

I fished at Disney. 3 hours, live bait, pontoon boat, 8-10 16" bass and I think that [censored] cost $400+. Never again. I definitely do not recommend fishing one of the resort/park lakes with a Disney employed guide.

Here's a post of mine from last year 3-15-2015 Lake Toho

I fished today from 0800 to 2pm. We caught 11 LMB all on weightless stick baits. The spawn looked to be about 70% done. I highly recommend Captain Butler. He was referred to me by Art Ferguson (another highly recommended guide)

I was in Orlando for 2 weeks in March and did the Disney guide trip. There is supposedly big bass in those lakes but arent caught often from what I was told. I caught a half dozen with the biggest in the 3 lb class. My opinion Toho beats any lake in Florida hands down for the chance at a DD. One of my half day trips while there recently I caught a 10.5 fatty. The last 3 winters I went to Orlando on vacation and Toho always produced the big girls. There are several guides I can recommend. Chuck as mentioned before or try orlandobass.com the longest currently running bass guide in the area .He is who I have always used there.

Stick marsh farm 13 was always my favorite with walk on water a close second. Toho is usually over fished IMHO. Not sure if Hydrilla Lake is still open, if it is I would try to get on there, it is near Lakeland Fl. You might get lucky.

For the Kissimmee Chain Capt. John Leech. I would take a hard look at Walk on Water, it use to be a local secret and doesn't/use to not get a lot of tourney pressure like the Kissimmee and Butler chains did.

I do miss running and fishing all that hydrilla and Lilly pads.

Florida fishing sucks, you do not want to spend your money here. Go to Canada for some great fishing.

Go to the Disney lakes just don't do the Caribbean beach resort. That's the ones with the pontoons. You can fish the lake in front of it think it's epcot and it's pretty awesome. As long as it's 1 or 2 people you go in a nitro and there are some good fish. I took my father in law last year and we smoked em. Several 4-6lbers. My father in law caught one over 8. I caught a 7+ and this was in like 4 hours. The guides are laid back. The guy we had ask us what we wanted to throw and he took us to catch em how we chose to fish. It's the only guide I've ever been out with but I definitely recommend it. PM me if you'd like I can probably find a phone number for you and answer any questions you might have.
