I'm going to be in Ft Worth on business next week, but will have every late afternoon/evening free to wet some lines. Any suggestions where I can get some decent quantities of fish caught ? No particular species in mind - just wanting some action. I've tried below Benbrook Dam in the past with limited success. River, creek, or lake - doesn't matter.. Staying on the southwest side and I'm not opposed to a little driving ...

Thanks,
Chris

Yeah, you can try the Trinity at 183 and Bryant Irvin. There's a little pond at Dutch Branch Park in Benbrook that has bass and catfish. Not sure how big the catfish are, I've only seen small ones. Biggest bass I've seen was about three pounds. Probably nothing much bigger. There's a river under 377 south of Benbrook with a pull-off under the bridge. I've heard people are doing well on sand bass there but can't verify.

That's all I can recommend in the SW Ft Worth area.

Tried the Clear Fork in 4 different spots between Benbrook Dam and Bryant Irvin. The current was really strong in spots. Anyway, tried just about everything in the bag and got just one measly bite. Thinking of going on the other side of Benbrook maybe to Whiskey Flats or Rockey Creek to see if I can get some momentum going. I've hear that Benbrook is a tough area to fish at times..
