Today I had Mary and Bill, from Divine , out on Lake Somerville for the morning. They came prepared for either crappie or catfish. I advised them to leave the crappie, since we only got three the day before, so we went in search of catfish, without wasting time on a slow crappie bite.

The cats did not let us down. They were waiting on us in 3-6' water. Fish were a great size today. After catching several larger fish, we caught one that looked smaller. Mary said, "I know that is probably a keeper, but it is small", so I measured it... 17". Got a good day going when 17" fish looks small.

They ended the day with 37 cats that had to be strapped in the cooler, because the lid would not close.
