So I've been back to fishing for about a year now and am kicking myself for not starting a journal sooner. Other than regular notebook paper and pen what do you all use? Online app or something you can buy that's specific to fishing?

Thanks in advance.

Microsoft Word. I keep the files on a thumb drive. I back it up by e-mailing it to myself every once in a while. It really helps with seasonal fishing with notes like lake level or river flow. What doesn't work is just as important as what does work.

I guess I might have to learn how to use word like that. Lol I'm not very word savvy.

I use Word and Excel all the time at work. I am chained to a computer in an accounting job. That is why I keep the files on a thumb drive so I can make more entries at home or work. If using Word will help you at work, I suggest using it for a journal. if Word won't do you any good, just buy a spiral notebook and keep a paper journal. I can't keep a paper journal as my handwriting is horrible. I can't even read my own writing sometimes. It is becoming a lost art.

Been blogging after losing several journals... started with this blog - cityofallenfishing.blogspot.com, then went to this blog - stockertroutfishing.com, and then playing around with this one to highlight "things of interest"... ifishnews.com

What's nice are the archive and search functions make it easy to see what was happening in previous years, and with Blogger, it's free and has the capability to publish post via email.
