Guys, I currently have a f250 7.3 with 230k I've had the truck for almost 9 years and never had a single engine issue in over 100k miles I've put on it. I do feel that I'm kinda due for a truck in the near future but not really in the market. I came across a man in his early 70s today looking to sell his 2008 f350 king ranch 4x4 at a very good price. Truck has 47000 miles miles on it. I've never drove a 350 but it seem like a hell of a deal, should I upgrade? Looking for positive and negative feedback

I know what my opinion of the 6.4 is, but I'd suggest you go talk to a few diesel mechanics especially ones at ford dealers. They can tell you whatever you want to know. I will just say that there is a reason why that was the last navistar engine put in fords, and why ford now builds their own, it's called warranty work.

look at the diesel thread on here....In my honest opinion, RUN AWAY FROM IT. Worked in a shop with fleet trucks with 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, cummins and mercedes diesels, not allowed to change them from stock configuration. 7.3 #1 and cummins #2 in reliability and longetivity, 6.4 dead last with 6.0 close behind it. So bad that company started ordering new trucks with gas engines and is factory retrofitting, with new VIN numbers, VT365 (6.0) and VT275 (INTERNATIONAL V6 version) and MAXFORCE (6.4) with gas motors.....

Brad, I think I'll hold on to it. My wife sent me pictures of this truck and it's a long bed. I really wasn't looking for a truck but my wife told me and I didn't want to pass a on a super good deal
