Flat Creek is one of the most underrated fishing spots in America.

I don't know if I would call it underrated. Anytime someone talks about Palestine you are going to hear Flat, Kicakpoo, Old Folks and Cades.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Honey Hole just did an episode on Palestine - go find it on YouTube. I think most of the time was spent at Cades. Lots of chatterbait fishing.

This. The carp are moving into the grass and brush to spawn so it will jack up some areas for a while. Bass are still around but a little harder to catch with the carp there.

Catch the carp then. They fight a lot better.

Fished Friday for about 4hrs. Caught 3 keepers but they were all over 5lbs.(not skill, just lucky) Had another 8 fish that wouldn't keep.
It was very hit and miss , with one fish here and one there.

You don't have to go north on Palestine... Fishers of Men top 2 weights were from the south end of the lake... 33lbs and a 29lbs sack....
