This may already be there, and I haven't found it but...

Ok, so you're side scanning an area trying to find brush. You already marked quite a few piles in the area on previous trips. Wouldn't it be great if while on your full SI screen that a dot/marker would show up on a waypoint that you've already marked? I'm talking as the sonar scrolls over a pile you've marked, it shows that marking on the actual live sonar scroll. Of course you should be able to hide/show these so you can see if there are fish on them if you want.

Also, I think it would be great if on the chart that the little boat symbol would show the scan width that you are set on with your si so you can see if you should be picking up waypoints on your sonar that you are passing on your chart. So, if you have your SI set to 60ft on each side, there would be a line going out 60' on each side of the little boat symbol. Does that make sense?

If you use the data overlay option w/ you side scan it overlays the side scan onto your map and shows you.

Where is this? I haven't seen it. I have a Helix 7 and haven't seen it. Do you mean putting the chart/si side by side on screen?

I'm not sure about Birds, but w/ my HDS I can overlay all of my sidescan data onto my map and then see the structure on the map. I believe that the larger Helix and Onix also have this function and it is called Auto Chart Live.
