Guys I wanted to see what your opinion is on a good flipping hook? I'm currently throwing the Trokar but man they tear the baits up easily just to thread them on. I may be even doing it wrong so I'm open to any advice or opinions.

I agree with you on they tear up more baits but I think the hook up is a little better because you do not have to set the hook as hard. Trade offs

The Gama or owner will do a really good job and not tear up as many baits.

The new Owner Jungle Hook is pretty awesome.

I think they make the Zo-Wire stuff from Unobtanium

Decoy Flippin Hook

This is the only hook I'll ever use for flipping. I've tried Owner, Hayabusa, Gamakatsu, Mustad, Troker, Eagle Claw, everything. Nothing compared to how well this hook performed. First and foremost, the hook is sticky sharp, and it stays sharp fish after fish. The hook point will not bend either, these hooks are STRONG! I really love the hook keeper on this hook too. It always keeps my bait in place and I don't have to use a toothpick or bait buttons. These are by far the best flipping hooks I've ever used.

Mustad Grip Pin.
And I am pretty sure I have went through 95% of the flipping hooks.
I am sure someone that knows me on here can vouche for my flipping experience.
I do it 90% of the time. Sometimes I crush em and other times I hang my tail between my legs.
I always swing for the fence.
Just my 2 cents though

The decoy hook
From the picture of this hook, I would worry about breaking off. I snell my flipping rig 100% of the time and it looks like the barbs on the shaft could be an issue.
But I am just looking at the picture. Never seen it in person

VMC for the price, but get the heavy duty, Trokar when on sale also heavy duty. Have good luck with both.

Yeah that decoy hook is more of a straight shank worm hook than an actual flipping hook. Looks to be Snelling that would cause major issues. I use the Trokar Big Nasty

I like the 4/0 roboworm or the 3/0 owner jungle hook.

My favorite hook for flippin'. His other soft plastic hooks have some great features also.
