Have never fished Falcon but would like to give it a try.Can anyone give me recommendations on a good guide service at falcon? What are some good places to stay overnight? I live in Mathis and mostly fish Lake Corpus Christi and Choke. Thanks for any info and help.

Jim Behnken is supposed to be great. I'm not sure if he still guiding or not but Robert Amaya also is supposed to be great.

Jim Edwards is a good guide. I have used him in the past.

Also agree on Jim Edwards been with him on a few trips, plus he owns Jo-Baby Lures and caught my PB fish 11-3 on his spinnerbait on a separate trip. Also give James a call at Falcon Lake Tackle he can give ya more names quite a few good guides down there.

I don't think he is now but I talked to him recently and he said he might do some soon.

If you have a group of 4 check out my place at the link below. Everyone that has stayed says it's the best in town. I've even had a couple guys bring the wives down and they loved it as well. A little pricey for just a couple of guys wanting a place to lay their head, but if you have a group of 4 it's about the same as 2 hotel rooms and much better. My daughter and I went out with Justin Crawford on Friday He is a very respectful young man and tended to my daughter so well she was beaming. We caught about 25 fish with a 6.41 for big fish and a lot of 2-3 pounders. He is out on the water almost every day because he isn't doing Sugar trips. Justin's number is (214) 448-8798.

Spent 3 days at Falcon over spring break. Stayed at Bassin Billy's place. Nice comfortable place with cover boat parking. I certainly hope to return and stay in the same place again. Perfect for a couple guys. County boat ramp is just down through the subdivision about a mile. Relaxing place!

Bassin Billy's Lodge is a great place to stay. Perfect for 1-4 guys; price is very reasonable.
Also heard that Billy was back to being a guide,,,,,,if this is correct he knows where the fish are.
If not Billy then Jim Behnken is the man to go to.
Billy has made Falcon our "go to" lake and in fact we will be there for 4 days in a couple of weeks,,,,staying at the Falcon Lodge.

No he is not currently guiding. His brother Tom is now, I would call and try to book him.
