While looking through the Academy weekly add this morning they had a sale item that caught my attention, a free spinning combo with the purchase of Gliss line. Thought I would share for those interested.

Just went and picked mine up. They offer green, clear, yellow and pink line. The 8, 12 and 24lb. Green line was out at my location though

Picked one up also. Had quite a few in the front entrance at the college station location. Curious on how the line is gonna perform but regardless it seemed like a heck of a deal.

Great deal but it shows you what that combo actually costs.

Interesting. Anyone have any reports on the line? I remember reading about it last year.

I picked one up at the Humble store today. The cashier couldn't get it to scan so she typed in the barcode and it came up $39.99 while the tag on it said $69.99. I'm not complaining as I got a free combo that is a throw down I can take to the neighborhood lake and not have to dig anything out of the boat. I also picked up a Spider-Man combo for my grandson!
The guy who spooled the combo reel with some free line told me to be careful when using the Gliss line as it's super slick and knots will easily come untied. He said it's akin to braid which I don't use. But heck I got a free combo and the opportunity to try some new line.
