My son and I went down to Guatemala for some fishing. The action is incredible.

The first morning we started about an hour late, but still landed 34 sailfish and 1 Blue marlin.

On the second day we landed 54 sails.

We were fishing with Pacific Fins.

If you have thought about going down the Guatemala to fish, this year is an excellent time to go.

Their sailfish season runs from November to May.

I think the sailfish migrate out during our summer months. I've never been during the summer months.

If you go December to March, you will probably average at least 20 sails per day. I know it has been unreal lately. There was another boat at the lodge that released 66 sailfish in one day. I talked to a group of guys at the Guatemala City airport that had a day where they released 61 sailfish.

On our boat, we were tolling with a couple teasers w/o hooks, and 4 baited lines. At the start of the 2nd morning, we had 3 sailfish hooked up, before they could even get the 4th line in the water.
