Spoon flies. Clousers. Kwans. Dirty brown colors maybe some orange mixed in.

Please report back how you did, so many people ask for tips and never come back to tell how it went.

I am going back down there in May to try again. Last year was a BUST with Tropical Storm Bill, I bet you can find my post from last June.

Headed to Corpus, around the LBJ from what I understand. Linking up with a family member down that way to do some kayaking and catching

Good luck, it looks fishy down there. I'm going to Galveston.

There have been some nice reports in Galveston West Bay on the south side for reds on the grass, FYI.

Bring clousers, decievers, some bendbacks, dark crab flies if the black drum are tailing, and some poppers / gurglers. That should cover you for pretty much everything from hardheads to lizardfish wink Plus reds, specks and flounder.

I was down at the coast over Easter. Pretty epic trip, 13 fish sight casted in 2 half days of fishing. With all the rain, the shrimp are everywhere, and there are some big ones. Big tan/natural colored flies of craft fur and deer hair seemed to be the ticket. Get out there and good luck!
