Agreed on his views about sponsors, but this does not say Auburn Tigers to me.

I guess it says Auburn Tigers to me, just because I know he is an Auburn fan and have seen him wearing Auburn ball caps. Knowing him, he didn't do it in Auburn colors so no one would think that they paid him for the wrap. He is a pro that I would love to get to know. One night, after the weigh-in at a Classic in Shreveport, my friends and I were eating at the Wendy's in Shreveport that is out past the Centurytel, Link, whatever coliseum going to toward Red River South Marina. Steve came in by himself, ordered, and took his meal to go. He saw us and smiled and waved at us as I guess he could see we were all looking at him...lol. I'll always regret not getting up and buying his supper for him. Heckuva guy in my book.

Number 1 guy in my book dude can flat out fish and he doesn't have big name sponsors he does what ever he wants to do!

He has turned down so many sponsors to not have to deal with all the "contract issues". Self made and makes enough every year to keep it going apparently. I envy a guy like him nowdays where the sport is all about pushing a product more than catching fish. Just my opinion.
